- Find Your Favorite Fruit/Veggie- This is so important y'all, find what fruit and vegetable you really enjoy and then explore different ways of preparing it. This transition should be pleasant and filled with exciting new experiences, don't force yourself to eat fruits/veggies that you don't enjoy. Allow your tastebuds time to adjust to your new way of eating, and with time many of those things you didn't like, you'll begin to acquire a taste for!
- Invest- As with most things in life, the more you invest (time, energy, finance) the more you are able to learn. Invest in quality products that will give you a better inner standing on how to incorporate your new eating style in your everyday life. Good tools are essential! Handy tools are quality knives/utensils, seasonings/spices, blender, and food processor. With those tools u can make delicious magic!
- Try Something New- Treat yourself DON'T cheat yourself, with that being said the world of fruits and veggies has so many choices and combinations that you are more than likely to find something to fit your liking. Trying new fruits and veggies allows you to expand your options anything from meal ideas and recipes.
- Don't Look For Validation From Outside People- Simple philosophy y'all, can't look for others to approve of a change you're making, that they either never had the courage to try or knowledge to inner stand why you made your choices. Either way YOU shouldn't let others make the deciding factor on your health. Don't let those crabs keep you in the bucket!
- Connect With Other Vegetarians/Vegans- Yes y'all, this is overlooked yet it is in our nature to want to be around people with like minds. Find local groups in your area. Check out places like MeetUp or your local recreational center to see if there are groups in your area that already are meeting, sharing information and supporting of your new healthier lifestyle.
